New Obsession.

My latest obsession are these gorgeous vintage ATC cards which look fabulous on cards, especially if you continue the vintage feel with the embellishments. This card is made from a brown paper bag, the photo I backed with black card which I edged with deckle scissors, a little strip of cotton lace. I've used liquid pearls, and my new favourite thing, the Pearl Pen. Little drops dry to look like real pearl. I got one today from Scrapbook Paradise, that shop is an absolute treasure trove at the moment, every where you look there is more temptation. From Mixed Media supplies to all the latest scrapping supplies, total scrappy heaven everywhere you look. Anyway enough chatting gotta go and dress a Prima girl waiting on my desk.

So the sister has gone home....

and left me totally fired up creative wise. I just want to sit here and make beautiful pages lol!
Anyway trying to do a couple of pages for some challenges I've entered and I've just finished this one and ....wait for it....I actually love it. I stamped and embossed the border on the background before inking the page creating a resist effect. I haven't played with inks and messy things for ages but some of those girls at Scrapcamp really got me motivated and I've dug out all my Tim Holtz stuff and am having a ball. For ages I just wanted to do "pretty stuff" and not get messy but getting messy has become very exciting again.
Anyway off to try something else.

General Store

I had a ball doing this layout but I'm having a hard time photographing it for some reason.
Anyway it was pure indulgence, I just went nuts with inks, Glimmer Mist, Prima Distress Canvas Elements, Nestabilities, Prima Flowers and Perfect Pearls. Of course there are some paper Doiley's in there and Kaiser and Prima stamps, Scrapcake Papers....just a few of my favourite things.
I really just let my imagination go nuts and enjoyed the ride, I really think times like this are good for the soul and great stress relief.
The photo was taken in Oamaru in their Victorian Teashop where they also have a General store, just gorgeous.
I guess I'm just celebrating getting my Mojo back and getting ready for Scrap Camp, I'm so looking forward to that but then I think I said that in my last post...what does that tell you.
Anyway must go and check on Gussie, he's not a well wee boy at the moment, everything seems to be running through him and he's quite miserable. Think it's time to start feeding him Senior food and talking to the vet.... poor baby.
