365 Day Album
Yesterday was a pretty awesome day, I got a letter and a parcel from Sam and this man was sworn in as president of the USA. It was hard to know what to do yesterday's page on but in the middle of the night I knew what it had to be, I grew up in the sixties, I heard about the race riots in America, I read about Martin Luthar King, about his dream and yesterday his dream came true sorry Sam but this had to be my choice.

365 Day Album
I know I'm working a bit behind but I'm determined to do this, this morning I completed this page (9th Jan) I have been keeping notes every day and this photos are dated on the computer so maybe maybe I'll make it.
Ah yes just realised when I scanned it should have put a colour behind it, white on white doesn't really work, LOL.
Loving these papers by Grant Archival they are really nice.
Is it morning????
Wow I'm tired today, really busy last night at work and this morning I just can't wake up and the worst thing is I don't get a day off till Wednesday! Will it ever come??? Enough whinging I agreed to do it but boy I'm paying today LOL.
The morning has slipped by quite fast cos I've been just sitting at this computer admiring all the gorgeous work every-one does, catching up on my favourite blogs and ah oh yes, munching on those chocolate sticks I found left over from Christmas..... not good, not good at all.
They have all decided I'm crazy at work, I keep taking random pics of things for my 365 album, but at the same time I've got some of them thinking....mmmm maybe this would be fun. I love when my madness rubs off onto other people, anyway if I run I might get another page done before work.

Another day.....
and another wedding. I feel like at the moment all I do is set up and do weddings. This one is at the hotel, the first of two this week and what an amazing day it is for a wedding., 27deg about an hour ago. I know it's a photo a day for the 365 challenge but I'm hooked on these collages in Picassa at the moment and I can't stop making them. I just found out you can make movies in it as well.... boy oh boy too many toys.
Anyway back to what I came up here to do, sort and print photos for our Scrap Day on Sunday.

365 Day Challenge.
I have been thinking about this since I saw it in one of last years Creating Keepsake Mags, but I got really inspired when Mandy mentioned it on her blog. Definitely doing this, just need to get some photos printed (or get a new printer cartridge and I'l be away. Saw an interesting way of scrapping 6 photos on a page in the latest Scrapbook Keepsakes mag yesterday, they print arrange 6 photos on a grid in Photoshop, print that out and then add that to a page and embellish, really cool and should get done quite fast.
Also on Mandy's blog she mentioned her word this year is ENJOY, btw check out the gorgeous header she's created with this word, it's amazing, however I have been thinking since I read her post about my "word" this year and I was going through a little book I've been scribbling in and found an entry I made before Christmas, it reads :To appreciate and enjoy everything. To make the most of all opportunities. Word for 2009 APPRECIATE.
i don't remember writing it but it sounds like a good word to me, I have so much to appreciate and be grateful for and I am going to try really hard this year to appreciate everything, the good and the bad, cos after all I have so much to be grateful for and it's easy to take it for granted, but it's more fun to appreciate it.
This reminded me of a conversation I had with one of the young chefs last night, he was explaining the hot new book "The Secret" to me, about how if you concentrate on the good things you can minimise the bad things etc etc. and how the power of positive thought can improve your life. I listened to what he said, and I had to stifle the urge to tell him that this book wasn't reinventing the wheel, we read all this stuff in the '80's, but it did remind me that this is philosophy was what got me through when I was sick and it really does work. It was just gorgeous to see the intensity on his face, like he was sharing a whole new idea... ah the innocence of youth. Bless them.
Well off to finish the Brag book I'm making for my cousin who's just become a Grandma, so once that's off my table I'm planning for Sunday and our first Scrap Day for the year.
