Just been over to Overlooked and the latest challenge is up, it has really hit a chord with me so I'm off to finish the housework cos I think I might just have to have a little play with this one.
It's such a gorgeous Autumn morning here today, bright but kinda chilly, definitely "jersey weather", well maybe that's to do with my age LOL.
The other reason I love Autumn is because of the colours, taking photos at this time of year is always so cool, the results are usually so crisp. That's something that would be well worth doing is a road trip to Central Otago when the leaves are changing, mmm, must keep that in mind while I have a bit of time.
Anyway off to hang out washing, only came on line to check out "Embellished, Outlet, Scrapbox etc etc , oh you know all the usual suspects. LOL

Scrap-a-Latte Sketch.
I am so excited about this, I finished it this afternoon. It's a 12x9 canvas which I painted and then used as a background for the layout, I got the sketch from Scrap-a-Latte. A very cool site by the way. I altered the photo of Gus with the Virtual Photographer filter from Optick Labs, used the sepia setting and loved what I came up with so it pretty much scrapped itself. The papers are Cosmo Cricket-Wanted, The chipboard is Fancy Pants Big Board which I painted and stamped in gold with my Autumn Leaves scroll stamps. The other chipboard is Bella and the letters are provo Craft Rob and Bob studio. Nuts about the whole thing and it looks great in our hall.
Must go watch the news.

Wahoo finished something!

So very excited about this page, well actually it's the cover of a book I finished tonight. Had a great time doing it, got to play with my new Rhona Farrer flourish stamps and my Maya Road ones. The rubons are Daisy D' and the paper is Chatterbox.
Really feel like I achieved something that I've been trying to do for a long time.. yes very chuffed.
Sometimes when I'm scrapping I feel like I follow the same old formula so when something new happens it's exciting.
I absolutely love those new Autumn Leaves stamps and the Maya road ones are gorgeous, so easy to create when you can see exactly where you're putting them. The other thing is you can create borders and backgrounds by mixing the different stamps, mmm very cool.
Also loved adding the flower diecuts ( not shown) to all the flourishes on the inside cover. So many things to try so much fun.

Finally Completed Something

Very excited tonight cos I've had a very cool day scrapping, and managed to do this canvas for two very good friends of mine who have just had their second baby. They sent me some photos of their little boy holding her and he has such a wonderous look on his little face that it just inspired the layout.
I used cardstock which I swiped with a white pad, Fancy Pants Mulberry Road papers, Fancy Pants chipboard scroll, Autumn Leaves scroll stamps, unknown chipboard letters, Making Memories dictionary sticker and cut flowers and corners with our new Cuttlebug.
Can't wait to give it to my friend, hope she likes it.
I'm hoping to have another scrappy day tomorrow, like this being on holiday, it's very cool. '-)
