Continuing my obsession with all things Maya Road I just found this gorgeous little scallop edge album on their site. How gorgeous is this? This is definitely on my "Want List". I just love the edges. MMM!

New Maya Road Stuff

Just followed the thread from Scrapboxnz to the Maya Road site .
They have some sneak peeks at their Cha releases and believe me they are stunning, well of course I am a Maya Road junkie, but what they have is awesome. And it's worth checking out their site for ideas, I just love what they do ( wish I could be half as clever :( however). Definitely worth checking out. Can't wait till Thursday I've got the whole day off and plan to play, want to get some things sorted for our scrapday on Sunday, right now I'm surrounded by a million half finished projects, ( well it feels like that).

Anyway off to do exciting things like super-marketing so Ciao for now.

I bought a Maya Road Calender book the other day, not to do as a calender but to do a little flip book entitled " It's Important in Life to......" and this is one of the pages. I'm using the Creative Imaginations papers and diecuts that I've been collecting in the "Narratives" range. I love the black and cream and am just throwing in a splash of red here and there. Loving the results so far, I think this will be a nice little reminder to have sitting around reminding me what's important in life cos I do tend to forget now and then and get bent out of shape of the trivialities in life. Phew that was profound! LOL.
I'm trying very hard to remind myself it's ok to relax and play and not feel guilty not being at work, don't start my new job for a couple of weeks, and I must admit I'm finding it hard being "a lady of leisure", but it's starting to get easier.
We have one of out srap Sundays this week and last night I actually made a kit to take with me, just have to print the photos , but I've done the "prep" stage, made a few embellishments....oh yeah I'm all over it this week. Anyway must go flick the video on Shortland Street is going to be interesting tonight.

So Excited

Just had an email from my sister, telling me how much she loved my cards I put on Trade Me. This is high praise indeed cos she makes the most gorgeous cards, so I'm buzzin'.
I can't wait to finish the Birthday card folder I'm working on, it's looking pretty good so far, so tomorrow I should finish it.
Just sharing another card in the "Prima Ayumi paper series. Had fun with this one, used my Maya Rd Sukura stamps under the "Best Wishes" and stamped and cut out the butterfly, the ricrac was cut on the Cricut and the scallop circle with the Nestabilities and the pink paper was embossed on the Cuttlebug.

New Cards

Well I've talked about it so much, started and stopped but this time I'm gonna do it! I really want to try and make a little business from my hobby, so over the past coiple of days I've been making cards and I've just loaded them on "Trade Me", not expecting miracle but at least it's a start. Have heaps of other ideas that involve paper so no more thinking about it it's time to do it.

New Year new start. teehee.

The inspiration came for these cards from the beautiful Prima papers we bought and downloaded at the weekend, they are amazing and co-ordinate with all the Prima flowers etc. MMMM! Very tasty indeed.

I am now planning a "card file box" to complete the set.

One thing I have learned is that the world of craft is made more exciting with the coming of blogging, so many cool ideas to share, so much encouragement, it's a real confidence booster. So if you're reading this and you've been wanting to give something a go take the bull by the horns and go for it, you don't know if you don't try.

The card I've featured features the very gorgeous "Ayumi " range from Prima, Cuttlebug embossing, a little heart jewel and some Kindy Glitz, Maya Road Sukura stamps.

I'm so excited about this latest page from Sam's Book. I love this picture, Sam was really over the "photo taking excercise" and it shows on her little face. They were walking throught the park behind my house and Pete spyed some little ducklings in the creek and so while they were watching the ducklings I was snapping them. This is from a another sketch, this one I found on Scrapworms Blog. I used K&Co papers, Bazzill and my gorgeous Maya Road stamps.....so loooove these stamps. The little word phrase is Making Memories.

Still no sign of my Cricut Expressions...... and it's a long weekend so it will be Tuesday before and hope of seeing it....I'm not a patient waiter! Have you noticed that already!! LOL.

Anyway a very sunny day here today so I'm back out to the deck and that Home and Garden Magazine that's got me planning on painting out kitchen pink.... oh boy when I get an idea I'm like a dog with a bone.

Sammie's Book

Yesterday was definitely a good day, I made up my mind to really concentrate on scrapping and ....I did. Whoa that's an achievement!Anyway I did two more layouts for the book I'm doing of Sam's early years. I found some photos I'd forgotten all about so it inspired me to do a dedicated book of her baby years, alas they seem a long time ago now sigh! All of twelves years but still that's along time in the life of a child and an Auntie who doesn't get to see her that often.However to the pages, .... the first one is a photo that a friend of mine took one morning as part of a "photo shoot". They are all fantastic and the quality is gorgeous, This is probably my favourite because this has been a "signature" look of Sam's all her life and I just love it.

The second photo was taken when she was three and the whole thing was a complete fluke, even though it looks totally planned. My sister and family were staying with us, and we went down to the city for lunch, in one of the malls they had this Merry-go-round set up complete with a pink car. Sam has always loved cars, especially old ones, so the scene was set, and like all good Auntie's I had my camera handy.At that stage scrap-booking was just a dream because nothing in the way of products were available here and I used to improvise and dream about getting my hands on "the real stuff" LOL!

For the "Pink" page I used a sketch from Page Maps by Begga Huna. I have just started using sketches, I'm trying to make myself do something different and not stick to the same formula every time. Really chuffed with how it turned out.

Used K&Co papers, Bazzil, Autumn leaves stamps,Cuttlebug, and Fancy Pants Big Board Shapes and Stamps and Maya Road stamps.

Wahoo finished something!

So very excited about this page, well actually it's the cover of a book I finished tonight. Had a great time doing it, got to play with my new Rhona Farrer flourish stamps and my Maya Road ones. The rubons are Daisy D' and the paper is Chatterbox.

Really feel like I achieved something that I've been trying to do for a long time.. yes very chuffed.

Sometimes when I'm scrapping I feel like I follow the same old formula so when something new happens it's exciting.

I absolutely love those new Autumn Leaves stamps and the Maya road ones are gorgeous, so easy to create when you can see exactly where you're putting them. The other thing is you can create borders and backgrounds by mixing the different stamps, mmm very cool.

Also loved adding the flower diecuts ( not shown) to all the flourishes on the inside cover. So many things to try so much fun.
