And just before I go...

another Tilda card I finished this morning. I've used paper from a pad I got at Warehouse some weeks ago which has perfect papers for these stamps, also a paper Doiley which I cut with a Heart Nestabilitie, Distress Inks, Pearls, Punches and some tiny little flowers.
I have to say I'm addicted to playing with these stamps they are so gorgeous, and the blogs I've found that feature them, so inspiring.
Anyway it's off to work now :( no more play today.

New Card...

I have just been reminded today of a very exciting thing I used to do that I'd forgotten about....and that is create in Paintshop Pro, a graphics programme similar to Photoshop. Some years ago when we first got the computer Faye and I discovered the fun you could have in this programme, that just about any image could be "tubed" and there fore used a stamp virtually on anything printable. So today we rediscovered all the amazing images we had collected and I totally fell in love with these very cute wee "Strawberry Shortcake" type images. Back then I always wanted to print them and make cards, but without all the tools I have now they never matched up to my intentions, but this one, without wanting to sound "big-headed" I'm nuts about.
So I can see this is going to be my latest fad cos there are heaps of images to play with and they just fit the bill of the type of image I've been looking for.
I actually scrapped last night and started and finished a layout in one night! Yeah I know, shock horroe, but I was definitely in the zone. Pics later.
Well I'm off to check out some more of these images.

Shhh! It's stopped raining, the washing machine is working overtime and I am starting to feel hopeful that we are not going to float away.
Well a marathon day yesterday, up at 5am, (the girl's were going to work, I had to pack for scrap day, scrapped till 2pm then off to work until 11pm. Was fine till it got real quiet arounf 9pm then I just crashed, felt awful couldn't wait to come home. However it was worth it had fun scrapping and catching up. Did one layout and finished a card, yep mammoth effort but actually I love the layout. Probably one of my favoutite subjects....ah yeah I know my favourite, all Prima papers, Nestabilities die cuts, Ranger Stickles, Heidi Grace rubons. Letters cut on Cuttlebug, loosley scraplifted from a layout in this months Innovation magazine. Love these colours, they seem to be my thing actually.
The card, I had all done just need to assemble but it counts as something else done LOL.
So a day off today, except for a function meeting later, so I'm going to play....between washing loads and vacuuming.
Thanks for looking, love to hear your opinion btw.

Prima Layout

This was my happy time on Sunday night, creating this layout. The photo is one taken in Akoroa in November (another week and a half and I'll be back there yah!). I used Prima's Tea and Silk papers, made the layered flower from Nestabilitie's circles, Paper Chic stamps and a Fancy Pants clear swirl which I embossed on the Cuttlebug. Had fun with this one, lotsa bits to play with.

Day off! Yah!

Labour Day Monday and I've got the day off, very cool indeed. Got up early this morning cos today I'm going to make five Christmas cards for the Scrapboxnz October swap,...( no I haven't started yet), had this idea I wanted to use Penny Black Hedgie stamps but when I went Paperworx yesterday all the Hedgehog ones were snowy and well the sun shines here at Christmas..well doesn't it? LOL. Anyway there was this Penny Black clear stamp set and it just had to come home with me, all the old PB favs but clear soooo well anyway I'm using those for my cards, cool.
Been busy at work the last couple of nights, even though house numbers were low, we got a lot of guests from surrounding motels dining, cool fun like a real restaurant. I know that sounds dumb but people don't treat "hotel restaurants" like "real restaurants" for some reason but this one really is.... could be why I love it.
Anyway back to the day off, or more to the point, this time next week we will be on the road to Christchurch..... oh yay that came around fast. I've told the girls I want to be on the road by 7am and in Christchurch by lunch. We will have to stop at Fleur's Place in Moeraki for brekkie of course, that place is awesome, and Fleur is one of my "restaurant heroes". Been to hell and back but still has an amazing attitude and gorgeous restaurant.
Anyway enough about food I'm off to play. It's going to be a Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Penny Black kinda day, that's my forecast anyway.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Labour Day and finds time to PLAY.

So Excited

Just had an email from my sister, telling me how much she loved my cards I put on Trade Me. This is high praise indeed cos she makes the most gorgeous cards, so I'm buzzin'.
I can't wait to finish the Birthday card folder I'm working on, it's looking pretty good so far, so tomorrow I should finish it.
Just sharing another card in the "Prima Ayumi paper series. Had fun with this one, used my Maya Rd Sukura stamps under the "Best Wishes" and stamped and cut out the butterfly, the ricrac was cut on the Cricut and the scallop circle with the Nestabilities and the pink paper was embossed on the Cuttlebug.
Thanks for looking.

Happy Thursday

Wow! Yesterday was definitely Happy Thursday, had a lovely day creating for a start which was nice but went to mailbox around lunch time and found the Nestabilities. that we had ordered from Australia had arrived, wow these are cool. So onto the computer to find out how to use them on the Cuttlebug and no sweat, found articles ,videos and before you could breath I had cut some gorgeous scalloped circles. mama mia this has opened the gate methinks. Anyway thought that was "the treat for the day" and was on my way to meet a friend and on my doorstep was a box of goodies from ScrapboxNZ that I only ordered on Monday.....ah yes I like "Gift Thursday"lol.
And now I have a three day, [well four actually cos Monday's my day off] weekend. The restaurant is so quiet at the moment I decided to take some extra time and stay home and play, will probably regret this on pay day but I'm worried about the students who work with me, they are not getting any work and their rents are due etc etc, so it's a win win and I get to play tee hee.
So today I want to make cards for our Cricut swap on Cricut.com, make a layout for the January challenge on Scrapbook Essentials. and I'd really like to make a "Gratitude Book", I keep reading about these on various blogs and it seems a cool idea to write something in it every night before falling asleep, and if anyone has something to be grateful for it's me.So enough chit chat it's time for action!
